Why did my views suddenly drop?
Usually it's the test-batch system doing its normal thing — distribution moves in waves, and the fix lives in signals, not conspiracies.
The Diagnosis
A sudden drop feels personal, but walk the actual chain before assuming punishment. Distribution works in batches: the platform tests each video on an audience, reads the signals, and spends more reach only when they're strong — so reach arriving in waves, with plateaus and dead periods between pushes, is the system's normal breathing, not a penalty. Next, check your doors: if the last spike was feed-driven and this video is riding search, the numbers will look like a crash that's really just different physics per source. Then audit the signals the batch actually voted on — thumbstop, hold, completion — against your own recent baseline, because one weak open can read like channel-wide collapse. 'Shadowbanned' is almost never the answer; a diagnosable stage failure almost always is. That's good news: you control the video.
