AN-003Problem Solving

Why is nobody clicking my videos?

A click is a split-second bet — expected payoff versus effort — and unclear packaging loses the bet before your video gets a chance.

The Diagnosis

The click decision takes under a second and happens entirely on your packaging — thumbnail and title working as one system. Here's the order it fails in: first, recognition — if viewers can't instantly tell what they're looking at, nothing else matters; curiosity built on confusion is just confusion. Second, clarity — the title and thumbnail have to make one clean promise together, not repeat each other and not fight each other. Only then does curiosity get its turn. Most 'nobody's clicking' problems are recognition problems wearing a curiosity costume: the package is trying to be intriguing before it's managed to be legible. Get legible first. Then make the promise specific — precise numbers and concrete stakes out-click vague intrigue every time.
