The Truth Graph
Every other number is a summary; this is the tape — learn to read it and every edit decision gets a scoreboard.
The second-by-second record of exactly where you kept and lost people — the most honest document your video produces.
What it actually measures
The curve maps how many viewers are still watching at every moment of the timeline, so every shape on it is a decision someone made. A cliff is a broken promise. A steady slope is pacing. A dip is a dead section. A bump is a moment people rewound to see twice. It removes the guessing — the audience already told you what worked, timestamp by timestamp.
How to read it
- 1
Everyone has an early drop. Its existence isn't the problem — its steepness against your own baseline is.
- 2
After the early drop, flat is strong. A gentle plateau means the video is keeping its promise.
- 3
Find every dip, then watch YOUR video at that exact timestamp. The answer is always on screen.
- 4
Find every bump or spike — those are rewound moments. Study them and make more of whatever that was.
