The Walk-In Rate
Nothing else you made matters to the people who never clicked — this number is the front door.
The percentage of people who saw your package and came inside — the number that decides if anything else gets seen.
What it actually measures
A click is a split-second bet — expected payoff versus expected effort — judged entirely on your thumbnail and title working as one system. CTR measures how often you win that bet with the people who walked by.
How to read it
- 1
Clicks ÷ impressions. Always read it next to impressions, never alone.
- 2
It varies by door: search traffic clicks hotter than feed traffic because searchers already wanted the topic.
- 3
It ALWAYS falls as impressions scale — the platform is showing you to colder audiences. A 'dropping' CTR on a growing video is often success, not failure.
- 4
Compare against your own past videos, not screenshots from strangers in different niches.
